DANS

Inside
Diving into the heart of the living spaces of residents, little ones, and the adults who care for them

LES GRANDES

Affirming the ambition of what we bring to very young children. Daring beauty — the very big as well as the very small, the strong as well as the gentle, complex thought, great waters and great dreams.

LIGNES

“A line is a dot that went for a walk” (Paul Klee).
Throughout time, through walking, writing, drawing, and weaving, human beings have traced lines.

Created in situ within early childhood settings, in close contact with children and their everyday environments, Dans les grandes lignes accompanies toddlers as they build their relationship to others and to the world. Inspired by the writings of anthropologist Tim Ingold, the company presents a performance blending music, movement, and the manipulation of materials, inviting us to travel along these threads, strokes, traces, flows, and furrows that sketch out ways of thinking, inhabiting, and connecting.

A little cousin of the creation Entre les lignes (for theatres, from age 3), Dans les grandes lignes is the second part of the triptych stemming from the research project La vie des lignes.
